Universal Import - How to resolve errors when running a Universal Import

When running a Universal Import, you may encounter errors if the data in your spreadsheet doesn’t match what is required in your database (e.g. if mandatory fields are missing data, or if dates in your spreadsheet are formatted incorrectly).

If any errors are found when running your Universal Import, Sumac will produce  an error file that tells you exactly what went wrong and how to fix it.  Simply upload your .csv file, and if there are any errors, Sumac prompts you to save the error file before proceeding.

You can also open the error file from the Sumac window:

Each row of information that could not be imported will be displayed in the file.  The very last column will give you a description of the error for that row.  You can correct the error directly in the file, save your corrections, and run the Universal Import again to complete your import, using the same file.
