What’s new
New Executive Summary
Fantastic new look
The Executive Summary report was a great addition to Sumac last year. Now we have given it a fresh new look. It still contains all the important information comparing year over year donations, information about new donors in the previous month, and major donors, but with a great new look!
To set up the executive report on your Sumac Database, follow the steps provided in our help article here.
New Outcome Reports
Detailed insight into your data
We created a new report that lets you easily aggregate any combination of data, so you can get detailed insights on outcomes. This new Outcome Report makes it easier to review and analyze data, identify patterns and trends, and quickly see where action is needed.
With our new Outcome Report:
Case managers can easily see which programs are used and who uses them allowing them to follow up with specific clients
Fundraisers can quickly see a breakdown of their donation campaigns and their success
Membership Managers can easily see how many members they have and the dues collected.
Since you get to define which data you want to aggregate or combine, the possibilities are endless!
You can also export (or copy paste) the table produced by the Outcome Report to a spreadsheet application of your choice (MS Excel, Google Sheets, and the like) to more easily create charts and graphs to visually display your data.

Simplified Report Titles
Easy to read report titles
In this release we have made report titles cleaner and easier to read, with the report parameters pulled out of the title and placed in the subtitle.
Favorite Reports
Find your reports fast
In Sumac, we offer lots of reports to ensure you have easy access to important stats about your nonprofit. Now, we’ve made it even easier to find your favorite reports quickly!
Just click on the left side of your favorite report titles. A little star will appear and your report will now be starred for you only. If you no longer want the report marked as a favorite, simply click the star again, and it will be removed.
Moved Email Templates
Loving the new HTML Editor for email templates? We’ve been listening to customer feedback and have now made find it faster!
In the last release, we provided you with a way to create amazing looking email templates with an easy to use HTML editor. In this release, we have made it easier to find.
From the Sumac menu, go to Utilities, then Templates, and there you will find your Email Templates.
Note: these templates have been removed from Field Values so that there is no confusion.

Our products got an upgrade!
Some screenshots and help videos have been made using older versions of our products. Though your version's colours and themes may appear different than what you see here, the instructions, links and advice in this article are still accurate and useful!
