This report shows donor retention within a user-defined time period. I'll use the screenshot below to describe what this report shows you:
There are three time periods displayed in this report: 2019, 2020, and 2021.
The first two rows show you how many donors you had in 2019, and how many of those donors gave again in 2020, and again in 2021. Sumac is showing both the number of donors (Donor Count) and percentage of donors (%) retained in subsequent years.
There were 62 donors in 2019, 24 of those donors returned and gave again in 2020 (38.71% of the donors who gave in 2019), and 2 of those donors returned and gave again in 2021 (3.23% of the donors who gave in 2019).
The third and fourth rows show you how many donors you had in 2020, and how many of those donors gave again in 2021.
There were 86 donors in 2020, 2 of those donors returned and gave again in 2021 (2.33% of the donors who gave in 2020).
This report allows you to define the time period you wish to use. You can choose if you want to show donor retention in years, or in quarters (i.e. 3 months). You can also choose the number of time periods you want to evaluate (e.g. 5 years, or 8 quarters).
