Why does Sumac prompt me to log in again while I'm working?
Sometimes Sumac may ask you to log in again, even if your computer has not gone to sleep. This is expected behaviour.
You may see the following message:
It seems that your computer awoke from sleep mode. Click OK to log in and make services available. Click Cancel to close Sumac.
What should I do?
Click OK and log in when prompted. Sumac will reconnect and you can continue working normally. If you click Cancel, Sumac will close.
Why does this happen?
For security reasons, Sumac periodically verifies that your login session is still active and authorized. Most of the time this happens automatically in the background and you won't notice it.
Occasionally, Sumac may be unable to complete this verification automatically. When that happens, you'll be asked to log in again so Sumac can securely re-establish your session.
This security measure helps protect your account and data by ensuring that access remains valid and authorized.
You may be prompted to log in again if:
- Your computer recently woke from sleep mode
- Your internet connection was temporarily interrupted
- Sumac was unable to refresh your login session in the background
- Your current login session has expired
Being prompted to log in again does not indicate a problem with Sumac. Simply log in again and continue working!
