In
Sumac, a Campaign is typically used to represent a fundraising
effort. For example, a series of appeal messages for donations you plan to send by paper mail or email.
What is the difference between a solicitation and a campaign?
Some organizations consider a campaign to consist of several solicitations, while others refer to a solicitation containing several campaigns. Sumac is neutral on this: from Sumac’s perspective, a solicitation and a campaign are exactly the same thing.
Although generally Sumac uses the term "Campaign" to refer to these kinds of things, when you define a Campaign in Sumac, you can indicate that it is of type campaign or solicitation, and use whichever terminology you are most comfortable with.
