7. Memberships Data Preparation Instructions
Each MEMBERSHIP record describes member information for one time period (typically a year) for one CONTACT. Every row is a new MEMBERSHIP record for each CONTACT when the CONTACT becomes a member or renews a previous MEMBERSHIP.
The type of membership someone has
Information regarding the start and expiry of a membership
Historical records of when someone was a member and when their membership expired
The purpose of Memberships add-on is Sumac is to:
Help you find lists of CONTACTS that are currently Members
Identify CONTACTS to pursue for membership renewals
Process payments for Memberships
- Every single row will be imported as a separate Membership record.
- Every column in this tab represents a field in the Membership record in
Sumac.
- If you do not track information that belongs in a particular column in
the template, leave that column blank.
