This release introduces a redesigned, role-aware dashboard, new tools for program oversight, clearer access to help, and several workflow improvements.
The Sumac Dashboard has been redesigned to help you see the most useful information as soon as you sign in!
Tasks & Activity brings together the work that needs attention now.
Trends & Insights shows how your organization is performing over time.
My Dashboard keeps your personalized dashboard available just as you left it. You can still add, remove, and reorder available dashlets.
Example Tasks & Activity tab:
Example Trends & Insights tab:
The first two tabs are tailored to your role and your organization’s active Sumac modules, so you will see relevant information without unnecessary clutter. Your selected tab is remembered between sessions.
When you first log in after the update, you’ll see a brief message explaining where to find your existing personalized dashboard. Future releases will open on Tasks & Activity so new dashboard features are easier to discover.
Program Managers can now review recent Case Notes and Case Plan updates across their programs from a dedicated dashboard dashlet. This gives Program Managers an out-of-the-box entry point for keeping up to date on recent case note and case plan activity, and creates a lightweight review workflow so Program Managers can maintain a clean active queue.
Select View All to open the full review queue and mark records as reviewed as you work through them.
Team leaders can now see signals for staff activity, inactivity, and capacity concerns in one place. The Team Activity dashlet highlights the most important signals first, while View All opens the full staff table for a more detailed review.
Existing dashboard dashlets have been refined to make trends easier to interpret and reduce duplication. Updates include clearer card layouts, consistent visual cues for changes over time, improved Caseloads actions, and more meaningful views for Days in Program and Donor Retention.
Example of Days in Program:
Example of Donor Retention:
Dashboard settings for Case Management are now managed once for the whole organization rather than separately by each user. Database Administrators can find these organization-wide preferences under Utilities > Customize Database > Preferences > Case & Custom.
Links to Sumac Webinars, the Support Portal, and Leave Us Feedback have moved to the top navigation bar.
The in-app AI chat is also now available there with a clearer icon.
Case Plans by Program: You can now choose which programs to include in this report. All Programs are selected to show by default, and you can deselect the Programs you want to omit from the report, as needed.
Contact dropdown fields: Previously, users could select from the drop-down, or free-type into the drop-down menu instead. We have firmed-up the capability of Extra Drop-down menu fields in Contact records. Database Administrators can now decide whether a extra dropdown field in Contact records accepts only its listed options, or also allows a new value to be entered.
This release also resolves issues with transaction logging after bulk Contact Type edits, Case Portal checkbox-group imports, stale Caseloads entries, saving address changes on affected contact records, Outcome Report Contact IDs, Receipt Delivery Preference bulk edits, and Province/State labels in Case Portal.
