Identity Service
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Identity Service - our enhanced login that allows you to seamlessly login and manage user credentials across Sumac and all our solutions.
Here are just some of the features and benefits you’ll get to enjoy with the new Identity Service:
Simple Account Management & Integrated Logins
Managing your user login credentials has never been simpler! Identity Service offers a single integrated login across Sumac Desktop Software and Sumac Portal Solutions, allowing you to access multiple platforms with a single set of credentials.
New Login with Google and LinkedIn
New Login options with Google and LinkedIn make it possible to log in with one click and from your social accounts, so the login process is smooth and quick.
Enhanced Security With Multi-Factor Authentication
With Multi-Factor Authentication, your accounts will get an extra layer of protection, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
User Profiles
With User Profiles, you can easily update and manage your profile information, ensuring accurate details across our platforms.
“Remember Me” for Easier Logins
Say hello to hassle-free logins! Our convenient "Remember Me" feature allows you to stay signed in securely, so you don’t need to type in your login credentials every time you log in.
Getting Started With Identity Service
Identity Service is only available to clients with a cloud-hosted database. If you would like to upgrade to a cloud-hosted Sumac database for free, contact Annie Kearns.
We will be migrating our customers to the new Identity Service in stages. Once your database is migrated, you will be taken to a web page like the one you see below.
You can then follow these 3 steps to start using Identity Service.
#1 Login
Enter the username and password that you use to login to Sumac.
#2 Complete Your Profile
Enter your email address, first name, and last name. This will be used to validate and update your account and password resets.
#3 Verify Your Email address
Lastly, you will be directed to check your inbox to verify your email address to make sure your account is protected.
That’s it! You are set up with Identity Service and logged into Sumac.
Enabling Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
Once you have been migrated to Identity Service, you can enable MFA for your account and gain the security benefits of this feature.
To enable MFA, follow these 4 steps:
#1 Click the profile icon in Sumac
#2 Under Account security, click "Signing in"
#3 On the “Signing in” page, find and click “Set up authentication application”
#4 Follow the instructions to set up MFA
Enabling Login with Google/LinkedIn
To set up login with Google or LinkedIn, follow the following three steps:
#1 Click your profile icon
#2 Under Account security, click “Linked accounts”
#3 Select either Google or LinkedIn to link your account.
Once the account is linked, you will be able to login using your credentials in either social login.
