More details on the Matching Gift area in Donation records

If you record and track information about matching gifts, you would use the "Matching Gift" area of the donation record to track this. You can record the name of the matching donor, the value of the matching gift you expect to receive from them, and the date you expect to receive that matching gift.

Once you actually receive the matching donation, you can populate this in the "Matching Gift" area as well to show that everything has come in.

Note, you should also enter a new donation record to track this new gift in your database as well.

There are also checkboxes in place to record that the paperwork for the matching gift is good (e.g. if the required paperwork is in place to get the matching gift, and whether or not this paperwork has been submitted to the matching donor).
