How does Sumac store dates?

In Sumac, all dates are automatically formatted to the universal date format (YYYY-MM-DD) and this cannot be changed.

However, you can specify the date format used in Mail Merge templates so that any outbound communications you send to subscribers, donors, and friends (e.g. e-mail or standard print mail), can display the date in one of the following formats:
  1. Jan 15, 2015
  2. January 15, 2015
  3. Thursday, January 15, 2015
  4. 2015-1-15
