How does Automatic Pledge Processing work?
If you are using the Automatic Pledge Processing feature in your database, here's how it works:
Once you turn on the Automatic Pledge Processing feature for your database, you tell Sumac what time of day you want to run the pledge processing.
When you log into Sumac, Sumac looks to see if there are any pledges ready to process, and confirms if it is the right time of day to process pledges. Sumac also double-checks if any pledges have already been processed that day to make sure it does not accidentally process those pledges twice.
If there are pledges ready to process, Sumac will proceed with processing these for you automatically. All you have to do is log in!
When the user starts Sumac, if Auto-Pledge hasn’t been processed for 15 days, Sumac sends notification email (email addresses are in Preferences) and unchecks the “Auto-pledge” checkbox in Preferences.
