Does sending emails through Sumac slow down my network?
It would depend on the email. If it is structured correctly, so all the images and related documents are on your website (not embedded in the email), then the email is very small, and sending it takes a fraction of a second. It's likely you would not notice any impact on your website.
If, however, you are sending 10 MB attachments on a slow network, your network will slow down, because Sumac would send the 10MB along with each email.
It also depends, of course, on the speed of your connection to the Internet. If it is a 0.2 Mbps upload connection, especially with large emails, then the impact of the email will be noticeable.
