How to Clear All Locks

Sumac lock records to ensure that only a single user can edit a record at once. When a second person tries to edit a record, they receive a notification that another user is already editing the record.

Occasionally, a computer will malfunction while someone is editing a record and the record can remain locked so that nobody can edit it. Sumac has a command to fix this specific problem.

Make sure that no one at your organization is logged into Sumac.

Log in as a Sumac administrator and expand the Utility menu in the Sumac console

Under Sumac administration choose "Unlock Records" and select the records you want to unlock.

Click OK to confirm that you want to unlock all records
